PIEDRA NATURAL

This wine is made with grapes grown in our Bocarrage Parcel, using absolutely no sulfites, nor additives or treatments of any kind. The grapes are exclusively hand harvested, ripe Tinta de Toro grapes.

After spontaneous alcoholic fermentation, with the malolactic naturally following in French oak barriques, the wine remains on its lees for a period of six months, after which it is lightly filtered prior to bottling.

With all of its integrity and natural fruit, this wine is a pure expression of the best that an old vineyard site in the Toro region has to offer.

PIEDRA ROBLE

Intensed red-cherry colour.

The nose is an explosion of fruits, berries, liquorice.

On the palate, this wine reveals its young and fascinating personality, creating and exceptionally round and well-balanced sensation in the mouth, gliding towards and agreeably long and harmonious finish.

PIEDRA CRIANZA

Attractive intense, clear, bright cherry red core colour, with garnet hints on the rim. The nose is complex with an abundance of ripe red fruits layered over spiced and toasty notes.

Unctuous and full of flavour on the palate, where the fruit notes shine through. This is a structured wine with noble tannins and a long, aromatic finish.

PIEDRA RESERVA

Extremely dark red-black cherry in colour, with a violet rim.

The nose shows the attractive wild fruits and forest floor notes of Grenache and the dark fruits, mineral and balsamic notes of the local star grape, Tinta de Toro.

This agreeable blend has benefited from the subtle effects of high quality oak, gaining notes of vanilla, chocolate and dark roast coffee and adding length and an agreeable roundness to the palate.

PIEDRA VERDEJO

From a bright lemony with green iridescence, is a thin wine. Clean and ripe aromas, very fruity with notes of pineapple and passion fruit, with hints drained.

Has mouthfeel is fresh and good acidity, slightly bitter and warm after the drink, fruit reappearing in the finish.

LAGARONA

This is one of the mythical wines of the Toro D.O., coming from the “Lagarona” parcel. Lagarona is made with grapes grown on old, goblet trained vines and the blend consists of 75% Tinta de Toro and 25% Garnacha.This blend and proportion of grapes, together with careful production and aging for 16 months in extra fine grain French oak barrels, followed by more than 2 years in bottle, produce a wine that is unique as well as both powerful and elegant. This wine has the potential to age for many years.

PAREDINAS

This wine is made with grapes from our oldest vineyard, PAREDINAS, which has been planted in 1927 with the typical “tresbolillo” method (staggered). The vineyard was planted on a hillside. The soil is deep and poor, which makes the vines reach the perfect balance with the environment.

The winemaking of our Estate Wine is done with the utmost care and respect for the grapes. After 24months on French barrels ageing on its lees, we keep the wine on bottle during 12 months. The result of this exceptional wine is an amazing taste that came from an amazing vineyard.
